The mission of the Crisfield Heritage Foundation is to preserve the heritage of Crisfield and its environs; to educate the public concerning this heritage, and to serve as the central hub around which tourism in the Crisfield area revolves.
The Tawes Museum and Gift Shop hours are Tuesday-Saturday  10-2 May-November
Crisfield Heritage Foundation’s main building is the waterfront J. Millard Tawes Historical Museum located on Somers Cove at 3 Ninth St Crisfield MD. Other historic properties include; the Ward Brothers Workshop where the fathers of decorative wildfowl carving would carve their decoys. CHF also includes the Crisfield Customs House which is currently undergoing restoration and Cedar Island Marsh which is located near the Somers Cove Marina.
